We are seeking a senior Business Systems Analyst to support a large-scale finance transformation and ERP modernisation programme within a highly complex enterprise environment.
This is not a traditional BA or note-taking role. The client needs someone who can lead stakeholder discussions, challenge assumptions, drive clarity across ambiguity, and produce high-quality, developer-ready requirements across a fragmented finance systems landscape.
The role is heavily Finance-focused, with some exposure to HR systems and processes. Candidates must have strong experience across core finance functions including GL, AP, AR, close, and reporting.
Environment Overview
- 22+ in-house and legacy finance applications (primary focus)
- SAP ECC finance environment
- SaaS platforms including Workday and BlackLine
- Ongoing multi-year ERP replacement programme
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workshops and requirement sessions with Finance stakeholders
- Translate business needs into process flows, system behaviour, data requirements, and integration logic
- Analyse impacts across legacy applications, SAP ECC, SaaS platforms, and future ERP solutions
- Drive future-state process design, standardisation, and simplification
- Produce clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams
- Support UAT, defect triage, and production alignment
Required Experience
- Strong Finance systems and business process expertise
- Proven ability to operate across complex, multi-system environments
- Strong understanding of integrations, data flows, and cross-system dependencies
- Experience supporting ERP implementation or transformation programmes
- Comfortable working with undocumented or homegrown systems
- Confident stakeholder leadership and facilitation skills
Preferred
- SAP ECC finance module experience
- Exposure to Workday, BlackLine, or similar SaaS platforms
- HR systems/process exposure alongside Finance
- Data mapping and migration experience
Success in this role means reducing ambiguity, improving requirement quality, and helping move ERP transformation initiatives forward with clarity and momentum.
