What You’ll Do At H1
H1 is hiring a Sr. Manager, Business Operations to work directly alongside our CEO and COO in a highly visible, project leadership capacity. This is a high-trust role for someone who is sharp, polished, and wants to be in the room where things happen. You will be a force multiplier for executive leadership — picking up strategic projects, managing key external relationships, building board-level materials, and doing the work that keeps our executive team moving at speed. The role formally reports to our COO and will work extensively with our CEO.
You will:
- Own and project-manage strategic initiatives on behalf of the CEO and COO
- Build polished, board-ready materials independently — presentations, Excel models, briefing docs, and one-pagers for internal and external audiences
- Manage relationships with external partners, startups, and advisors in coordination with the CEO and COO — serving as a trusted, front-facing point of contact
- Travel on short notice occasionally when needed — representing H1 at partner meetings, and industry events
- Contribute to board preparation, company planning, and executive communications
- Help build culture, company events, and ad hoc initiatives that the CEO and COO need driven
- Step into whatever is most urgent — this role's value is in its flexibility and judgment
- You have a consulting mindset: structured thinking, clean output, high standards for how work gets presented
- You are client-facing and polished — you can represent H1 externally with confidence
- You move fast, communicate proactively, and learn effectively from feedback during the process
- Willing and able to travel occasionally on short notice
- 4+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a high-growth startup in a business operations or chief of staff capacity
- Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills — able to produce polished, board-ready deliverables independently and quickly
- Demonstrated ability to manage external relationships with professionalism and discretion
- Comfortable operating close to senior leadership in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
- MBA preferred, but not required
Anticipated role close date: 06/20/2026
