Your Role as a Solution Engineer (m/f/d):
As a Solution Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our technical products and the needs of our customers. You will focus on delivering technical solutions, creating and implementing strategies, and working closely with customers, developers, and internal teams to ensure successful deployments and integrations.
These are your tasks:
Customer-Facing Technical Engagement:
- Deliver tangible assets (code snippets, repository commits, etc.) to customers to guide them throughout their journey on the platform.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Development teams to discuss and refine customer requirements and ensure technical solutions align with our product capabilities.
- Own showcase infrastructure, including roadmap of internal demo platform
- Validate & extend platform capabilities with new and existing add-ons helping showcase unique values of Shopware platform
- Validate agency-created technical solutions in customer projects, ensuring they meet business, security and technical best practices.
- Create re-usable high-quality content such as demo pitches, video tutorials, code samples, and PowerPoint presentations to support customer enablement and internal team training.
- Develop and manage knowledge content to ensure it is accessible and usable for internal and external teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our documentation and technical guides to enhance the customer experience.
- Hands-on Technical Expertise: Several years of hands-on experience with modern software development frameworks such as PHP, Symfony, JavaScript, and Vue.js, along with a strong understanding of Linux environments.
- E-commerce Knowledge: In-depth technical know-how of e-commerce platforms and experience supporting SaaS and PaaS distribution channels. Knowledge of the Shopware platform is a plus.
- Certifications & DevOps Knowledge: Leading hyperscaler certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are a plus. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is also advantageous.
- Consulting & Solution Experience: Proven experience in technical consulting, solution engineering, or similar fields, including creating training and enablement content for diverse audiences.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders. Comfortable with direct customer interaction and a strong team player.
- Educational Background & Work Style: A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification. A self-driven and proactive work style with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Travel: You’re willing to participate in central team meetings at our campus in Schöppingen (approx. 4 times/year) and be willing to travel for events and customer visits.
