Based in Central Europe, this role plays a key part in driving commercial growth by building strong partnerships with leading retailers and FMCG companies, supporting the adoption of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.


Your role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for expanding Tosca’s presence across Central Europe, combining strategic business development with hands-on commercial execution.


Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and expand Tosca’s network across retail and FMCG sectors
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with a focus on long-term value creation
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads
  • Drive revenue growth through consultative and solution-based selling


Client Relationships

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key retail and FMCG accounts
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding customer needs and sustainability goals
  • Strengthen partnerships across sectors such as meat, produce, dairy, and beverages


Contracting & Execution

  • Lead complex commercial negotiations for pooling and reusable packaging solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, customer service)
  • Ensure successful implementation and high levels of customer satisfaction


Market Insight

  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
  • Stay informed on regulatory developments related to sustainability and circular economy
  • Provide insights and reporting to support strategic decision-making


Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or B2B sales
  • Experience in pooling, packaging, logistics, or retail environments is a strong advantage
  • Strong commercial mindset with strategic and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced international environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Fluent in English and German, Dutch is a strong plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Central Europe (DACH & Benelux)
