Spencer Ogden are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Construction Manager to support the delivery of renewable energy projects across wind, solar, battery storage, and other renewable technologies.
This role will involve managing projects through development, planning, design input, site activity management, commissioning, and handover.
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing construction-phase Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
• Acting as the client’s on-site representative during construction delivery
• Managing construction risk, contractor performance, and quality control
• Supporting administration of construction contracts, variations, and claims
• Coordinating with stakeholders including grid operators, local authorities, and landowners
• Monitoring planning and environmental compliance throughout construction
• Delivering progress, cost, and risk reporting
Requirements:
• Third level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 8+ years’ post graduate experience in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience delivering large-scale construction or civil engineering projects
• Experience managing high-value engineering projects within the energy industry
• Understanding of construction contracts, variations, claims, and extensions of time risks
• Strong commercial understanding of construction works and budget control
Desirable experience:
• Renewable energy projects including Solar, Wind, BESS, or grid infrastructure
• EirGrid and ESB Networks civil specifications and standards
• EPC, Design & Build, or FIDIC style contracts
• HV grid connections and Wind / Solar / Battery installations
• AutoCAD or ArcGIS
Location: Dublin / Hybrid working with sites across Dublin and Midlands.
