About First Principle

First Principle Asset Management is an institutional structured products specialist designing systematic, rules-based portfolios that convert equity volatility into stable income and asymmetric payoff profiles. Powered by The Invictus Collective — a Chicago-area multi-family office and Forbes-recognized wealth platform — First Principle serves institutional allocators, family offices, and RIAs seeking portfolio enhancement for today’s elevated-volatility, lower-forward-return market regime.

Our approach centers on payoff engineering — diversified, rules-based portfolios of structured notes that harvest index option premium across major underlyings (SPX, NDX, RUT, SX5E) and are designed to integrate into existing equity and credit allocations rather than replace them. We provide position-level transparency, issuer diversification, and attribution that maps into CIO, investment committee, and risk system frameworks, rooted in The Invictus Collective’s four values: Trust, Integrity, Empathy, and Responsiveness.

Position Summary

We are seeking a senior leader to drive First Principle’s institutional distribution and steward its investor relations. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy seat — the firm’s primary growth engine and the lead voice to existing institutional clients — combining deep structured products fluency, institutional sales and IR discipline, founder-grade ownership, and AI-native operating discipline. The ideal candidate has sold structured products to institutional allocators, RIAs, and family offices, can hold substantive conversations with CIOs and investment committees about systematic volatility capture and engineered payoff geometry, and is energized by the chance to build a function rather than work inside one.

Key Responsibilities

Origination & Institutional Sales

  • Identify, qualify, and develop relationships with institutional allocators, OCIOs, family office investment teams, and RIAs whose portfolios would benefit from First Principle’s structured note allocation framework.
  • Own the full sales cycle — from initial outreach through close — with institutional buyers, their consultants, and the platforms (iCapital, CAIS, Halo, Luma, etc.) through which our notes can be accessed.

Centers of Influence & Strategic Partnerships

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with allocation consultants, OCIO firms, single-family office investment teams, and structured products platforms that influence institutional capital flows.
  • Represent First Principle at structured products forums, allocation conferences, and partner platform events.

Investor Relations & Client Stewardship

  • Lead ongoing relationships with existing institutional clients — performance dialogue, attribution reviews, and investment committee communications.
  • Own the investor reporting cadence with the CIO and risk team, including proactive communication during market dislocations.

AI-Native Operating Discipline

  • Run the BD and IR function on modern AI tooling — Claude, ChatGPT, custom GPTs, HubSpot AI — as the default operating model, not an experimental sleeve.

Founder Partnership

  • Work directly with First Principle and Invictus Collective leadership on strategic priorities, partnership decisions, and firm-level positioning.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of distribution, institutional sales, business development, or investor relations experience at an asset management firm, structured products specialist, or bank structured products desk.
  • Direct experience with buffered ETFs, defined outcome notes, structured notes, autocallables, or comparable payoff-engineered products. Comfortable discussing participation rates, caps, barriers, and option premium dynamics fluently.
  • Track record of quota-carrying or territory-owning sales with verifiable closed-business outcomes to institutional buyers, RIAs, or family offices.
  • Ability to be on-site full-time in Park Ridge, IL, with travel as required for client meetings.

Preferred

  • Current or recent role at Innovator, iCapital, AllianzIM, Halo, Luma, Pacer, CAIS, Swan, Cboe Vest, or a bank structured products desk.
  • CIMA, CAIA, CFA, or comparable designations.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus.
