Position Summary

A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Junior Help Desk Technician to support daily IT operations for both corporate and plant users. This individual will provide first-level technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with onboarding/offboarding activities, and help maintain stable IT operations across office and manufacturing environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level IT professional looking to grow their career within a hands-on manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, and user accounts
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, email, and basic network connectivity issues
  • Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and walk-up support requests in a timely manner
  • Set up and configure new user workstations, software, and peripheral devices
  • Support password resets, user access requests, and Active Directory account management
  • Assist with inventory tracking for IT hardware and software assets
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed
  • Support plant floor technology including barcode scanners, label printers, and manufacturing workstations
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures
  • Assist with routine system maintenance, updates, and IT projects


Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of Help Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Support experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of:
  • Windows 10/11
  • Microsoft 365
  • Active Directory
  • TCP/IP networking concepts
  • Printers and peripheral troubleshooting
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or warehouse environments is a plus
  • CompTIA A+ certification is a plus


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Exposure to ERP or manufacturing systems environments
  • Familiarity with mobile devices and remote support tools
  • Ability to learn quickly and support multiple technologies
