About the Role
A hands-on accounting role covering the full spectrum of retail finance across 3–4 stores and head office functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting for 3–4 retail stores, including sales reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable
- Record journal entries and prepare monthly financial statements
- Prepare monthly P&L reports per store and consolidated management reporting
- Process and manage payroll for all staff across stores and head office
- Track and manage cheque payments, mall rent schedules, and landlord invoicing across all locations
- Maintain and monitor all trade licences, permits, certifications, and renewal calendars
- Coordinate with PRO and operations team on government and regulatory filings
- Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE
- Prior experience in retail, fashion, or FMCG strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks required
- Strong knowledge of journal entries, financial statements, and reporting
- Advanced Excel and general accounting software proficiency
- Solid understanding of UAE commercial compliance (trade licences, Ejari, municipality permits)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
- PRO experience is a plus
