The Recipentsts will greet and assist clients and visitors and provide supportive clerical assistance to the agency departments as necessary. Courteously, promptly, and accurately direct or provide assistance to callers/visitors. Assist with sign-in procedures and direct visitors to the appropriate offices. Print name tags as needed. Monitor entrances using security cameras and alert staff regarding suspicious activity. Accept, post and distribute mail efficiently and accurately. Retrieve and respond to incoming e-mails. Troubleshoot and correct problems with office equipment (i.e. copy machine) and ensure that appropriate vendors are called to repair office equipment. Represent the agency in a positive and professional manner. Demonstrate sound judgment is managing confidential matters with regard to clients, staff and sensitive management issues. Attend and participate in individual supervision, staff meetings, training sessions and professional development opportunities as required. Handle emergency situations which may require flexibility of time and area assignment. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.
This Position Is Full Time at 35 Hours. Pay for This position is $17.00
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry
- H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Ideal candidates should have some administrative experience,
- ability to be flexible, patient, team-oriented, and energetic.
- Understanding of diverse cultures strongly desired.
- NYS Driver’s License,
- NYS Child Abuse Registry
- Strong oral and written communication,
- customer service, detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of computer systems and computer operations,
- data entry experience, and familiarity with web-based billing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at clients’ homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals.
