Responsibilities
- The incumbent technician will be an integral part of manufacturing processes working directly with associates and leads in a work cell.
- They will prepare all required FXI and customer documentation to provide visibility of product status.
- REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Monitor Fabrication & Manufacturing processes to determine products are meeting requirements and specifications.
- Compliance with all plant rules.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Assist Quality Manager with maintenance of Quality Management System, Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
- Working knowledge of metrics, KPI's and the ability to update associated logs and files.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal to address customers, suppliers, and FXI associates.
- Previous manufacturing or testing experience.
- Follow appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI) and safety procedures.
- Proficient use of MS Products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
- Interface with Suppliers to address defective material.
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision including multi-tasking capabilities.
- SAP; part number search, create inspection plan & lot, material hold & release transactions.
- Review and disposition of nonconforming product.
- Ability to use standard measuring tools including but not limited to tape measure, 6" scale, caliper, micrometer, weigh scale and height micrometer.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Certification or Associate's degree in Quality, Engineering, Science, or related field.
- TECHNICAL SKILLS: Generate and communicate fabrication & manufacturing status using graphs and data reports.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of SPC and software.
- Problem Solving and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Assign corrective action, update non-conformance systems and maintain associated records.
- Ability to read and interpret customer requirements and part prints.
- Understanding and application of Process Flow, FMEA and Control Plan.
- Internal Auditor skills; ISO 9001 AS9100.
- Direct experience within industry including but not limited to ISO, AS, TS management systems and documented training in one or more areas as: technician, inspector and/or auditor.
