Job Responsibilities But Not Limited To
- Manage products by closely monitoring and analyzing sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activities and based on consumer and product knowledge and insight.
- Set and manage P&L targets by categories and channels.
- Work with SCM and Operations to ensure the infrastructure is enabled to support the category strategy.
- Conduct category-specific analyses and recommend new products and features to fill product pipeline and meet company’s strategy and goals.
- Lead the development process of new products (NPD) from conception through execution (pricing, positioning, packaging, etc.), by working collaboratively with different functions including R&D
- Develop new product marketing plan and develop strategies to communicate with consumers.
- Execute marketing projects including packaging development, ad development, digital marketing, and social media programs by working with cross functional teams and outside agencies.
- Assist in management of external vendors and partners as appropriate (e.g., advertising, PR, market research agencies, etc.)
- Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce long-term market share.
- Develop and maintain a strategic 3-year plan to support growth and profitability targets by innovating and maintaining new products.
- Manage product lifecycle including product improvements and SKU rationalization.
- Determine the consumer research and data needed and conduct marketing research; track market and competitive trends to remain abreast of category developments.
- Develop and direct marketing/sales collaterals such as sell sheet, brochure.
- Manage archive to ensure all artwork designs and marketing materials remain current.
- Develop annual marketing budget and deliver all marketing activities within the budget.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Advertising or Business Administration. MBA is a plus.
- Passion for food is a must!
- 3 years of relevant work experience in brand or product innovation marketing (CPG experience required) preferably in food industry.
- 3 years of B2C or B2B experience and basic P&L knowledge.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, including experience with IRI, Nielsen, and Spins.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills
- Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
