Role Description

L’Artelier is seeking a driven Art Advisor for our Southampton gallery, someone who thrives in a sales focused environment and is motivated by building relationships and closing deals. This role is ideal for someone who combines a strong commercial instinct with an appreciation for contemporary art.

You will play a key role in driving revenue, developing new client relationships, and positioning the gallery for continued growth.


Core Responsibilities

• Drive revenue through proactive client outreach, in person engagement, and closing sales

• Build, manage, and continuously expand a strong base of collectors and qualified clients

• Convert inbound inquiries and digital leads into long term, high value relationships

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and referrals

• Advise clients on acquisitions with a strong understanding of pricing, positioning, and market demand

• Maintain consistent follow-up and relationship management to maximize repeat business

• Collaborate on exhibitions, events, and sales strategies to support gallery growth

• Track client activity, pipeline, and sales performance against targets

• Light Art Handling and inventory management


Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven success in sales, preferably in art, luxury, or high-value client environments

• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets

• Strong closing skills with confidence in high touch, face to face selling

• Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation abilities

• Ability to work in a fast paced, target driven environment

• Highly motivated, results oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset


Additional Strengths

• Experience in galleries, auction houses, luxury retail, or real estate

• Existing network of collectors or high net worth individuals

• Strong interest or knowledge in contemporary art

• Multilingual is a plus (French, Spanish, Mandarin, etc.)
