Role Description

An exciting opportunity for a Supervising Pharmacist to join a well-established, community-focused pharmacy located off the Dublin Road, Portlaoise — just 20 mins from Kildare and 40-50 mins from Dublin with excellent accessibility and ample parking.

This is a genuinely flexible and adaptable role supported by a highly experienced and collaborative team.

The Supervising Pharmacist will:

• Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy
• Ensure full compliance with PSI standards and all regulatory requirements
• Dispense medications accurately and safely
• Provide patient consultations and clinical advice
• Manage stock control and inventory systems
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and organised working environment
• Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy and front-of-shop staff
• Uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional practice

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and dispensing practices
• Excellent communication and patient counselling skills
• Proven leadership ability and experience guiding pharmacy teams
• Attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional and calm handling of patient queries and clinical decisions

PSI Registration is essential.

Previous supervisory experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
