Position Overview
Bohannan Huston is currently seeking a full-time Survey Office Technician to join our Survey and Spatial Data Group in our Las Cruces office.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Survey Office Technician, you would be involved in numerous tasks that include assisting with the following:
- Reduction of survey data – GPS, LiDAR, sUAS and other data sets
- Preparation of survey documents including:
- Geodetic Control
- Plats
- ALTAs
- Topographic Maps
- Easements
- GIS digital deliveries
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail.
- The ability to problem solve and innovate.
- Work with limited supervision.
- You have a High School Diploma or 2-year related degree preferred.
- You have a minimum of one year of experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D.
- You have experience with GIS software, construction staking calculations, data reduction for boundary, right-of-way surveys, topographic and/or engineering design will be considered more qualified.
- Candidates with survey field experience will be considered more qualified.
- Trimble Business Center
- FME
- GIS applications including QGIS, and ESRI
- Ortho imagery and point cloud reduction technologies
- Civil 3D / AutoCAD
- Adobe Acrobat / Bluebeam Revu
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
