Location: Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany (On-site)

Salary: Up to €50,000-€75,000 basic + benefits

We are working with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed technology business expanding across Europe. Germany is a key growth market for the company, with significant growth plans over the coming years.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant looking to join a fast-paced, high-growth environment where they can develop their skills, gain broad finance exposure, and grow alongside the business.

The Role

Reporting to the European Financial Controller and supporting the wider finance team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the German finance function.

You’ll gain exposure across multiple areas of finance including accounts payable, expenses, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end processes including journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Process invoices, expenses, and supplier payments
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
• Support German VAT and expense administration
• Maintain accurate financial records and data entry
• Assist with audits and financial reporting activities
• Work closely with Group Shared Services and local stakeholders
• Support ongoing finance process improvements

About You

• Previous experience within a finance or accounting role
• Understanding of finance processes including AP, reconciliations, and expenses
• Knowledge of German VAT or bookkeeping processes would be beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Fluent in German and English
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
