About the Company
Equity Packaging is seeking a Technical Manager New Business Development - LATAM to help drive growth across Latin America by combining technical packaging knowledge with business development capability. This role is designed to support new customer acquisition, solution development, and market expansion across the LATAM region. The ideal candidate can engage customers commercially while also bringing enough technical depth to help define practical packaging solutions. About the Role

Responsibilities
- Support new business development efforts across LATAM markets.
- Identify, qualify, and help develop opportunities with regional and multinational accounts.
- Participate in customer meetings to understand technical, operational, and commercial needs.
- Translate customer requirements into packaging and service solutions.
- Partner with the regional technical leads on account strategy, proposals, and pipeline development.
- Work closely with regional technical directors, and internal support teams to validate feasibility and delivery approach.
- Help shape solution scope, assumptions, timelines, and pricing inputs.
- Contribute to proposal preparation, technical presentations, and customer follow-up.
- Support expansion into adjacent categories and service offerings where Equity Packaging can differentiate.
- Provide market insight on LATAM customer needs, competitive dynamics, and regional growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong background in packaging, packaging services, engineering support, or technical solution selling.
- 10–15 years of total professional experience within the packaging or supply chain services sector in Latin America.
- Min. 5 years of Regional Market experience: Documented success in navigating business cultures and regulatory environments specifically in Mexico, Brazil, or the Andean region.
- Min. 5 years of Technical Account Management: Experience bridging the gap between US-based corporate standards and local LATAM production/implementation realities.
- Bi-lingual/Tri-lingual Mastery: Total professional fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory; Portuguese is a significant advantage.
- Experience in "Service-Based" Selling: Must be able to demonstrate success selling solutions and services, not just physical commodities or products.
- Experience working with customers in LATAM markets.
- Ability to balance technical credibility with customer-facing business development.
- Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to work across global teams including US, India, and China.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in packaging services, packaging development, sourcing, or technical commercial roles.
- Exposure to multinational accounts or regional LATAM growth environments.
- Experience helping move opportunities from early-stage discussion into proposal and execution planning.
