- Pulmonology is the specialty area of medicine that focuses specifically on the pulmonary system. The pulmonary system, also sometimes called the respiratory system, consists of the lungs, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, associated blood vessels, and all other components involved in and directly related to breathing and the process of respiration (gas exchange).
- The position of Medical Assistant (MA) is primarily responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting the provider with patient care. The MA obtains patient information and records it in the patient record. The MA is responsible for medical supplies and the readiness of the examination rooms. Maintains interdepartmental relations and coordinates interdepartmental communications.
- Education: Graduate of an approved Training Program for Medical Assistants.
- Training & Experience: Experience is preferred but may not be required.
- Orientation is based on previous knowledge and experience.
- Additional education/training in a related field is considered on an individual basis.
- BLS required within 45 days of hire
