Accountant - Germany

We have partnered with a global tech startup company who are seeking a talented Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team in Frankfurt, Germany. Reporting into the Senior Accountant you must have strong HGB experience and be able to deal with invoicing, receivables and transactions.

Location: Frankfurt (Hybrid)

Salary: € 60 000 - 65 000

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (HGB-compliant), including detailed analysis and commentary.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate documentation of all business transactions.
• Support the company's planning, forecasting, and reporting efforts by providing data-driven insights.
• Oversee invoice verification, payment processing, and receivables management for the company's Accounts Receivable and Payable.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or SaaS industry.
• Robust knowledge of German commercial and tax law (HGB, UStG).
• Proficient in using accounting software like DATEV, SAP, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills and a strong analytical mindset.
• Fluency in English and German.
• Independent, structured, and precise work ethic, combined with a collaborative spirit and an open mindset.
