Job Description

Overview:

This is a dual Business Analyst and Project Coordinator role. As a Business Analyst, the individual will work with multiple project teams to capture and clarify requirements, assist with testing as needed, and manage and facilitate user acceptance testing with clients. As a Project Coordinator, the individual will work with clients and technical leads to coordinate project activities, provide project status reporting and accounting for the clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Under minimal supervision, perform business analysis efforts including eliciting, analyzing, documenting and communicating the business needs based on input and direction from subject matter experts.
  • Works with leadership to create buy-in on the deliverables and approach.
  • Works collaboratively with project team to effectively support delivery of quality software solutions.
  • Plans and facilitates backlog grooming/refinement sessions.
  • Interacts with various team members to provide requirements clarifications throughout project lifecycle
  • Work with testing team members to ensure requirements coverage within test cases and plan testing of impacted processes.
  • Assists with testing as needed.
  • Participates in the resolution of defects.
  • Facilitates user acceptance testing and defect management process.
  • Project coordination and management skills.
  • Support assigned projects with meeting coordination, meeting agendas and minutes, and tracking project progress.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively with limited guidance
  • Must also be able to work within a defined team structure that requires consistent communication
  • 3+ years of relevant Business Analyst experience and 1+ years of of project coordination\management experience
  • Strong problem management, facilitation and organizational skills
  • Experience in crafting and eliciting measurable requirements
  • Experience executing medium to large complex projects


Nice to have:

  • Experience working with upper-level management
  • Experience in either property and causality insurance, healthcare, manufacturing or software industry verticals
  • Experience with projects involving third party vendor implementations and integrations
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Experience working with Data projects
