Join a fast-growing leader in the industrial machinery manufacturing sector, specializing in precision sheet metal, machining, and welding fabrication solutions. This company serves diverse markets, including Water and Electrical Infrastructure, Roads/Bridges, Aerospace, and more. As a Senior Business Development Manager – OEM, you will be at the forefront of driving new logo acquisition within a dynamic contract manufacturing platform, building and scaling high-impact OEM partnerships and accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and acquire new OEM customers within targeted industrial verticals.
- Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies to generate qualified leads.
- Build executive relationships with engineering, sourcing, and operations leaders at prospective clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to signed production agreements.
- Structure and negotiate pricing in alignment with margin and business objectives.
- Expand newly acquired accounts into multi-program and multi-site opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery.
- Work closely with commercial leadership to execute a focused OEM revenue growth strategy.
Must-Have Skills:
- 7–15+ years of experience in contract manufacturing sales.
- Direct experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding environments.
- Proven success acquiring and scaling OEM accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to build pipeline through outbound prospecting efforts.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and production constraints.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in machining environments.
- Background working across multiple industrial verticals such as infrastructure, aerospace, or utilities.
- Track record of expanding accounts into multi-program or multi-site relationships.
- Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional commercial teams.
- Interest in advancing into commercial leadership roles as the business grows.
