Job Description
The Senior Manager, Chemistry & Materials and Product Performance Testing leads a global, multidisciplinary team responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability, and compliance of materials and products through advanced testing methodologies. You will be in an important position to lead innovation, quality assurance, and regulatory understanding across product development and manufacturing processes, while promoting collaboration across international sites and diverse technical disciplines.
You will report to our Director, Manufacturing Process Engineering and work out of our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of scientists, engineers, and technicians.
- Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure testing operations meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Maintain laboratory accreditations and support audits and inspections.
- Align team goals with our broader organizational goals.
- Lead financial planning activities, manage capital projects, and develop business cases to support strategic programs and investment decisions.
- Develop partner relationships including senior leadership, customers, and external partners and influence across departments to guide understanding and deliver on our goals.
- Lead and enable teams to solve complex technical challenges by removing organizational barriers, promoting collaboration, and applying systemic thinking to guide root cause analysis and sustainable solution development.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- The ability to travel 10% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10+ years of professional experience, with 8+ years in management roles.
- Experience managing analytical or electrical test labs
- Experience or familiarity with certifications like ISO 17025
- Understanding of certifying bodies including UL, NVLAP. A2LA
- Process Improvement Mindset
- Experience providing executive reporting, stakeholder alignment, and change communications
- Experience managing or collaborating with senior technical experts
