Transportation Manager

The Eastern Region Transportation Manager at Jadeer Logistics Services Company is responsible for overseeing and managing all transportation activities within the Eastern Region. This leadership role ensures efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of goods, aligning with company objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and continuous improvement of transportation processes to drive operational excellence.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transportation operations across the Eastern Region to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Oversee fleet management, including vehicle maintenance, driver performance, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage, coach, and motivate the regional transportation team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews to ensure team effectiveness and development.
• Coordinate recruitment, training, and capacity-building initiatives for transportation personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national transportation regulations and company policies.
• Implement safety programs to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.
• Investigate and resolve transportation incidents or accidents promptly and thoroughly.
• Collaborate closely with other departments, including warehouse, sales, and customer service, to align transportation operations with overall business goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Serve as the regional point of contact for transportation-related issues and escalation.
• Monitor transportation KPIs, analyze performance data, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and technology adoption.
• Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, or Transport Management) are a plus.

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in transportation management, with at least 3 years in a regional leadership role.
• Proven track record managing large fleets and complex transportation networks.
• Experience in logistics operations within the Eastern Region or similar markets is highly desirable.

• Proven work experience as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager, or similar role.
• Solid knowledge of supply chain management.
• Experience preparing and tracking orders.
• Familiarity with logistics software.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and train staff.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent in Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant field is a plus.
