🔍 About the Role

As our Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our growing organization. This position reports directly to the Regional Finance Controller and collaborates closely with Customer Service, IT, and regional finance teams.

You will manage daily and monthly accounting activities, support tax filings, reconcile accounts, participate in audits, and contribute to important projects such as our Oracle migration.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Daily & Monthly Operations

• Record incoming/outgoing invoices and internal documents
• Perform daily sales and payment checks
• Conduct weekly cash reconciliation with Customer Service and prepare bank deposits
• Prepare weekly cash reports and monthly bank reconciliation
• Maintain fixed asset records
• Participate in monthly inventory counts and month-end closing activities
• Update and post accruals and prepayments

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare monthly VAT returns
• Support personal income tax submissions
• Prepare OSS EU VAT reports quarterly
• Support annual corporate tax, local business tax, and innovation tax calculations
• Assist during statutory, interim, internal, tax, or customs audits

Projects & Support

• Participate in the Oracle migration project
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical or process issues
• Handle document archiving and ad‑hoc tasks from Finance Manager or VP of Regional Operations

💡 Who We’re Looking For

You are a detail-oriented, proactive accounting professional who enjoys working independently while partnering across teams. You’re comfortable navigating fast-paced closing cycles and confident in Hungarian tax regulations and financial processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a multinational environment)
• Strong knowledge of Hungarian accounting and tax regulations
• Hands-on experience in VAT reporting, reconciliations, fixed assets, and monthly closing
• ERP experience (Oracle/SAP is a plus)
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
• Good communication skills; ability to work across departments
• High integrity and ownership mindset
