Technical Project Manager (Green Fuels)

At TILSTROM Engineering & Consulting, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager (Green Fuels) to join our growing team of consultants. In this permanent full-time position, you will apply your process knowledge and leadership skills to help our clients develop cutting-edge green fuel technologies. As part of our continued growth, you'll be leading projects that drive the transition to cleaner fuels and ensure they are delivered successfully, on time and within scope.

You will be employed by TILSTROM and work as a consultant on assignments for our clients (primarily around Copenhagen or Aarhus). This means collaborating closely with client teams and stakeholders to plan and execute complex process engineering projects in the green energy domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end execution of green fuel projects (e.g. Power-to-X, biogas, hydrogen) from initial design through construction and commissioning, including developing project plans, schedules, and budgets to meet all milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers (process, mechanical, electrical, etc.), contractors, and suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and communication throughout the project.
• Monitor project progress and performance, managing risks and implementing corrective actions as needed to keep the project on track and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures throughout the project.
• Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders about project status and outcomes, ensuring transparency and alignment of expectations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in industrial process or energy projects, preferably within renewable energy, oil & gas, or green fuels development.
• Strong understanding of process engineering principles and technologies used in alternative fuel production (e.g. electrolysis, biogas, synthetic fuels).
• Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors, delivering results on time and on budget.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical parties.
• Fluency in English; Danish language skills are an advantage.

Location: We have locations in Greater Copenhagen and Aarhus, and this role can be based in either (with some travel to client sites in Denmark, so you should be comfortable commuting).
