Key Responsibilities
- Support the Program Coordinator in implementing all aspects of the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program
- Assist in ensuring all grant activities remain aligned with program deliverables, timelines, and Uniondale UFSD priorities
- Coordinate progress monitoring activities and maintain ongoing tracking of grant benchmarks, outcomes, and reporting requirements
- Assist with scheduling, organizing, and documenting meetings with partnering LEAs, consortium members, and stakeholders
- Support recruitment activities for prospective School Psychology candidates and assist with outreach efforts
- Help coordinate training sessions, professional development activities, and coaching supports for participating LEAs and district personnel
- Assist with communication between LIU faculty, LIU Promise Coach, LEAs, internship supervisors, and district personnel to ensure timely follow-up and task completion
- Support data collection and organization for regional and district needs assessments
- Assist the Program Coordinator and P.I. with special projects and additional grant-related responsibilities as needed
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience supporting grant-funded programs, educational initiatives, or mental health service programs preferred
- Knowledge of school-based mental health services and educational systems preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with school personnel, families, and agency partners
- Experience with data tracking, reporting, and progress monitoring
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education, School Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field preferred
- Typical office setting with privacy; required regular travel to various locations throughout Long Island; occasionally work hours will be required during nights and weekends.
