Who we are
Brew.new is a small, venture-backed team in NYC making AI that actually does the work, not just suggests it. We're rethinking email marketing from the ground up: campaigns that write, send, and optimize themselves, automations that feel less like clunky workflows and more like a smart teammate. We ship fast, we ship often, and we're just getting started.
Who you are
Early-career or junior engineer who wants to write real code that real users touch, not pad a backlog at a 500-person org. You're hands-on, curious, and the kind of person who'd rather ship something rough on Tuesday than wait until Friday for perfect. You care about craft, but you care more about momentum.
What you'll do
- Build across the stack — frontend, backend, AI plumbing, whatever the day calls for
- Work directly with founders and the rest of the team (no layers, no committees)
- Ship features end-to-end, from "huh, this could be cool" to in production
- Get your hands dirty with the latest AI stack — LLMs, agents, evals, the whole thing
- Help shape what we build, not just how we build it
Our stack
TypeScript everywhere. Vercel power users. Modern frontend, serverless backend, and whatever AI tooling makes sense for the problem. If you love a tight, fast TS/Vercel loop, you'll feel right at home.
What we're looking for
- Solid full-stack chops in TypeScript — comfortable in both frontend (CSS, JS, modern frameworks like Next.js) and backend
- You've shipped things, somewhere — internships, side projects, contract work, open source, whatever
- Strong problem-solver, good instincts, low ego
- CS/SWE degree or equivalent self-taught grit
- Bonus points for: experience with AI/LLM tooling, email/marketing platforms, or anything you've built that you're proud of
The details
- $100k–$120k base and meaningful equity
- Location: SoHo NYC, hybrid (we believe the best stuff still happens at a whiteboard with coffee)
- Stage: Venture-backed, small team, lots of room to grow with us
