Job Summary


As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of applications supporting core business operations and consumer-facing platforms. Your role includes overseeing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of high-quality results.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations
  • Lead and manage software development projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring the successful deployment of applications for core business operations and consumer engagement
  • Ensure projects follow established development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business units, engineering teams, and third-party vendors
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor issues to avoid delays or failures
  • Deliver projects tailored to banking industry needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and integration with financial systems
  • Foster a collaborative environment and support team members in achieving project objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness


Competencies:


  • Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in project management methodologies for IT and software development and mobile applications, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of SDLC processes and software development best practices. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead diverse teams and manage cross-functional collaboration effectively
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Analytical mindset to identify risks, resolve challenges, and make data-driven decisions
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written, to convey technical and project details to stakeholders


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree graduate
  • At least 8 years of experience in managing software development projects in banking and financial service sector (wealth, treasury, trust, cash management, switch, ATM, etc.)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and exposure on SDLC methodologies and tools
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications is an advantage
  • Candidate must be willing to work in Ortigas or Makati
