Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for clean energy and the technical chops to back it up? We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join a growing engineering firm specializing in comprehensive onsite energy solutions.
🏢 About the Role
This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you'll own the full sales cycle from identifying opportunities to closing deals across a portfolio of cutting edge energy technologies.
🎯 What You'll Do
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the onsite energy space
• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial, industrial, and institutional clients
• Position and sell integrated energy solutions including:
✅ Solar PV (Commercial & Industrial)
✅ Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
✅ Backup Generators & Combined Heat and Power (CHP)
✅ Central Plants
✅ Microgrid Controllers
✅ Building Energy Efficiency Measures
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop proposals, technical scopes, and financial models
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
• Meet and exceed revenue targets
✅ What We're Looking For
• Proven track record in B2B sales within the energy, engineering, or utilities sector
• Technical understanding of distributed energy resources (DERs), microgrids, and/or energy efficiency systems
• Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
• Strong communication and presentation skills you can translate technical concepts for executive audiences
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage a pipeline independently
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred

• Experience with energy procurement, demand response, or sustainability programs
• Existing relationships with C&I energy decision-makers
• Familiarity with incentive programs (ITC, IRA, utility rebates, etc.)
