Role Summary/Purpose

This role is for the TCOS product as part of the Network & Logistics group in Wabtec Digital Electronics. TCOS is an integrated dispatch control solution that brings together multiple dispatching functions for Centralized Traffic Control (CTC), Track Warrant Control (TWC), Dark Territory (DT), and Positive Train Control (PTC) into one system for efficient train management.

We are looking to hire a Software Engineer (1+ years’ experience) in Bangalore to contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of TCOS software products. This role will work closely with senior engineers and architects to build scalable and reliable software solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development, testing, and maintenance of TCOS applications
• Collaborate with team members to implement features based on product requirements
• Assist in developing scalable and high-performance software solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
• Work in an Agile team environment and contribute to sprint deliverables
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and development practices

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM-related field
• 1+ years of professional software development experience
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of .Net and web application development
• Familiarity with programming languages such as VB.NET, C#
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and front-end frameworks (Angular or similar)
• Understanding of REST APIs and Microservices architecture (basic level)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
• Basic knowledge of database systems and data structures
• Attention to detail and willingness to improve code quality
