Duties
Help
- Through subordinate activity managers, is responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Family and Morale Welfare and Recreation (D,FMWR) Business Division at a large garrison.
- Implements, enforces, and ensures compliance with regulations, and a comprehensive community recreation program widely recognized for addressing a broad range of interests and needs of the military community
- Reviews program objectives and priorities, and develops five-year plan with capitol Purchase Minor Construction (CPMC) and Annual Operating Budgets covering projected programs of division resources
- Develops policy and strategic plans addressing resources, facilities, and programs. Serves as the Garrison representative and advisor on matters relating to recreation and morale support of soldiers and their Families.

- Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and Special MWR events.
- Work requires the use of physical exertion when preparing for and overseeing events. May be required to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items.
- Required to file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with requirements of Dodd 5500.7 Joint Ethics Regulation
- Incumbent must be able to obtain an Official No-fee Passport.
A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following
- Work experience directing/managing one or more Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs for a garrison, or similar civilian operation, for at least one year.
- Bachelors Degree OR at least (5) five years experience working in MWR.
- APF and NAF budget knowledge, formulation and execution
- Direct Management and supervisory Experience in multiple function areas
- Experience in Strategic Planning and Execution
- Experience with Contracting, Procurement and Concession
