Business Development Manager


This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking and innovative company at the early stages of our growth. The successful candidate will be operating in a fast-paced environment, so self-motivation, ambition for personal development and enjoying being part of a team are key traits.


We are looking for an experienced business development manager, to identify, negotiate and close sales. You will report to our Commercial Director, and work closely with our project manager and internal teams or subcontractors, to ensure all projects are delivered successfully. You will be given full training of products, systems and services.


Responsibilities

· Generate leads and new business opportunities from cold calling and mail campaigns.

· Close deals to achieve Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual KPIs and Targets.

· Produce weekly and monthly reports on sales forecast, pipeline and activity.

· Direct selling across multiple product sets and verticals as agreed

· Look after and grow the accounts you sign.

· Conduct research to identify customers in specific industries and determine the most appropriate approach to use in each case.

· Represent the company at relevant trade shows and exhibitions, using networking opportunities to build brand awareness and highlight the company’s products.

· Gain a competitive understanding of the clients you are working with.

· Grow your base of potential customers every day


Key Performance Indicators

· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs across multiple product sets and verticals.

· Produce weekly and monthly reports on sales pipeline and activity.

· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets


The Person:

This business acquisition role requires endless dedication to results.

· Business acumen and commercial awareness with a good understanding of financial systems and profitability.

· Strong experience in Northern Ireland’s SMB and/or Enterprise markets.

· Experience in the design and delivery of formal corporate presentations.

· 2-3 years sales experience in a growth sector ideally in renewable energy sector or technology

· Customer centricity and experience with dealing with customers.

· Proven ability to operate flexibly in a complex and dynamic working environment.

· Ability to work with key stakeholders (service delivery, product and pre-sales solutions) to get the job done


Work conditions

- 40 hours per week with flexibility in working conditions

- Hybrid working environment – Mix of home, office and field based working

- Most of your time will be in the field targeting new customers for b4b renewables

- Fun team & office environment

- Visits to customers locations required – Mainly ROI and NI
