Business Applications Developer – 2 Year Contract

Our client, a leading organisation undergoing significant digital transformation, is seeking an experienced Business Applications Developer to join their growing IT function on a 2-year contract basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale business transformation programme, helping to deliver innovative Microsoft-based solutions across the organisation.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with business stakeholders and external technology partners to design, develop and implement modern business applications and automation solutions. This role offers the chance to work on impactful projects using the latest Microsoft technologies within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customise solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Power Pages
• Configure and support Dynamics 365 CE applications
• Design and develop Canvas Apps and Model Driven Apps
• Work across web development and backend technologies including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C#, .NET and T-SQL
• Build and maintain Dataverse models, tables, forms and workflows
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Support workshops, demonstrations, testing and user training sessions
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing support through project delivery and go-live
• Create and maintain technical documentation and solution specifications
• Work within Agile delivery methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience

• 2–3 years’ experience developing solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and/or Power Platform environments
• Strong understanding of Power Apps, Power Automate and Dynamics 365 CE
• Experience with C#, .NET Framework, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SQL/T-SQL
• Exposure to Azure DevOps and Agile development methodologies
• Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a wider project team

Desirable

• Microsoft certifications such as MB-210, MB-220, MB-230, MB-240, PL-100 or PL-210
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Copilot
• Experience implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central
