- Coach and inspire a blended onshore/offshore group
- Clarify roles and expectations
- Encourage ownership and continuous improvement
- Guide change with empathy and purpose
- Set standards for service desk, infrastructure, and deployment
- Advance proactive, automated operations
- Deliver consistent support for retail and clinical sites
- Scale technology for new locations
- Act as a trusted partner to senior business leaders
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Manage vendors and partners responsibly
- Shape operations strategy as part of the IT Senior Leadership Team
- Represent operations in executive discussions
- Balance resilience, cost, experience, and growth
You take pride in building high‑performing, resilient teams—coaching leaders, developing capability, and setting clear expectations—while running dependable, modern technology operations in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
What You Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in senior technology leadership roles, with accountability for technology operations, service delivery, applications, and project portfolios
- A strong track record of coaching, developing, and leading teams, creating a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Solid grounding in ITIL‑aligned service management, Agile / SDLC delivery, and modern operating models
- Proven supplier and partner management across integrated, multi‑vendor environments
- Experience operating in large, complex, multi‑site organisations (e.g. retail, healthcare, FMCG, or technology services)
- The credibility to lead strategically, with the judgement and willingness to step into technical detail or execution when situations demand it
- People‑first, but technically credible — you understand the detail and earn respect through expertise
- Comfortable diving into complex infrastructure, network, or service issues when the situation demands it
- Sets direction and standards, but doesn’t hesitate to roll up sleeves alongside the team during critical moments
