Senior Business Analyst

How you'll make an impact
The Senior Business Analyst is an experienced practitioner who plays a critical role in delivering strategic business value by leading the analysis and definition of requirements across TFA Domains. They partner closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and senior stakeholders to shape features, refine backlogs, and ensure alignment between business goals and technical delivery. Operating as a subject matter leader, the Senior BA facilitates effective cross-team collaboration, mentors other BAs, and contributes to the maturity of business analysis practices in a Domain Delivery environment.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a critical role in delivering strategic, customer‑focused outcomes across our domain delivery teams.

In this role, you'll lead end‑to‑end business analysis for complex, multi‑squad and cross‑domain initiatives, partnering closely with Product Managers, Product Owners and senior stakeholders. You'll bring clarity to complex problems, shape value‑driven backlogs, and help uplift business analysis capability across the organisation.

Your usual day in the office will include:

• Lead discovery and requirements analysis for complex initiatives across multiple squads or domains
• Decompose epics and features into high‑quality, testable user stories with clear traceability
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align delivery outcomes to strategic business objectives
• Facilitate workshops, backlog refinement, PI planning preparation and solution validation
• Mentor and coach other Business Analysts and champion best‑practice BA standards
• Manage cross‑squad dependencies, risks and delivery readiness
• Define and track outcomes using OKRs/KPIs to support benefits realisation and continuous improvement

Your attributes

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in complex, data‑centric enterprise environments
• Advanced SQL skills (joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations) to analyse, validate and reconcile data
• Strong understanding of enterprise data foundations, including relational & dimensional modelling and RAW, CONFORMED and SEMANTIC layers
• Deep knowledge of data flows, structures and end‑to‑end lineage across ingestion, transformation and consumption
• Hands‑on experience with data modelling, mapping, integration specs and data migration, including validation against business rules
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear epics, features and user stories with strong acceptance criteria
• Experience applying data quality, governance and PII controls to deliver trusted, compliant outcomes
• Strong collaboration with engineers, architects and platform teams, bridging business intent and technical delivery
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, confident challenging assumptions with data evidence
• Experience in large or regulated organisations (financial services preferred); SAP exposure highly regarded
• Comfortable working in Agile environments, managing backlogs, priorities and parallel data initiatives
