Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial modelling, valuation analysis (DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions), and deal structuring.

• Prepare investment memoranda, management presentations, and board materials.

• Support end-to-end M&A processes: LOI, due diligence, SPA negotiation, and integration planning.

• Develop and maintain relationships with investment bankers, advisors, brokers, and industry contacts.

• Produce sector-specific market intelligence reports and competitive landscape analysis.

• Track deal progress and maintain the CRM pipeline (e.g., DealCloud, HubSpot, or Salesforce)

• Work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Operations during due diligence and integration.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or strategy consulting.

• Commercially astute with the ability to assess strategic fit and value creation potential

• Excellent written and verbal communication — able to present clearly to C-suite and board level.

• Full working rights in Australia.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a specific vertical aligned with the company's acquisition strategy (e.g., SaaS, financial services, healthcare, infrastructure)

• Existing deal flow network or advisory relationships in Australia / APAC.

• Exposure to integration management post-close.

• CFA charter holder or CA/CPA qualification.
