Overview
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor (QAS), this position is responsible for the coordination and support of Quality Assurance activities, including preparation of inspection test plan, review of material test reports, performing inspections, preparing test reports, and other Quality Assurance activities as needed.
This position requires infrequent travel to other company facilities or client site (less than 5% travel).
Primary Duties
- Perform inspections across all stages of production as instructed by Quality Assurance Supervisor.
- Prepare quality documents such as Inspection Test Plan, data report, and inspection test reports.
- Prepare and maintain test data for review.
- Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
- Report quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
- Safety - Ensure a safe workplace, including compliance with established safety laws, regulations, codes, policies, and procedures.
- Post-secondary education. Relevant experience in QA role is an asset.
- Min. 2 years experience working in manufacturing environment. Experience is pressure vessel and equipment is an asset.
- General knowledge and experience working with inspection tools such as calibrated gauges.
- Able to perform in a high-volume, results-focused work environment.
- Able to plan, prioritize, and organize workload.
- Able to use Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong problem solving skills and strong attention to detail and quality.
