Fund Accountant

NPW is looking for a Fund Accountant to join its growing finance team. The Fund Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial administration of NPW’s investment funds and related entities. This role will support fund closes, reconciliations, fee calculations, financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and communication with internal stakeholders and external service providers, including custodians, fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete fund books and records
- Prepare and/or review NAV calculations, management fees, and performance fee allocations
- Reconcile cash, portfolio holdings, subscriptions, redemptions, and fund expenses
- Assist with the preparation of interim and annual financial statements
- Support year-end audits and coordinate with auditors, administrators, custodians, and tax advisors
- Prepare investor reporting and internal fund reporting packages
- Monitor valuation inputs and exception reporting, escalating issues as required
- Maintain documentation standards and ensure adherence to internal controls
- Support ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned by the CFO
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- 3+ years of relevant fund accounting or investment accounting experience
- Strong Excel and reconciliation skills
- Experience with investment funds, pooled funds, LPs, trusts, or alternatives preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Compensation
Salary based on experience and competitive with market standards.
