Software Engineer

Role Snapshot:
Location: Toronto, ON (4 days/week in office)

Pay Range: $ 75 - $ 90/hr (Based on years of experience)

Duration: 6-month contract with strong potential for extension

What we’re looking for:
• Strong experience in Python development (backend/data engineering focus)
• Expertise in building scalable, high-performance systems
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus)
• Strong experience with SQL and working with large datasets
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile environments

What you’ll be doing:
• Designing, developing, and optimizing scalable Python-based applications
• Working closely with cross-functional teams including data, product, and business stakeholders
• Building and maintaining APIs and backend services
• Handling large-scale data processing and performance optimization
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues and ensuring system reliability
• Contributing to architecture decisions and best engineering practices

We may use AI-enabled and/or automated tools to support parts of our recruitment process, including application screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
