Job Description:
The role:
The MN RAID team is responsible for development, quality assurance and delivery of RAID Applications, UEFI, Windows and Linux drivers for the Client’s laptops, desktops and workstations that support the client’s RAID solution. As a software engineer in this team, you will work on hardware and software. We are a vertically integrated team spanning from firmware development right up to application layer. As a part of this world class team, you will get an exposure to the fascinating world of RAID. In this role, you will be actively participating in research, concept development and design ideation to create world class software and firmware.
The person:
We are looking for versatile and enthusiastic engineers who are willing to take on new challenges and find innovative ways to problem solve. You will be working with a group of engineers to design, develop and validate a complete RAID solution and the newest platforms that Client’s produce. We are looking for someone with a strong programming skill in C and C++ with exposure to X86 as well as source control (CVS/GIT) and/or Windows architecture. An ideal candidate should have firsthand experience working with Window device driver development and debug.
Key responsibilities:
• Candidate’s primary responsibility is developing Windows Drivers for client’s RAID products.
• Candidate will have backup responsibilities of developing Linux, UEFI drivers, User applications (GUI/cli) for Client’s RAID products.
• Sustain the design, development, integration, testing and deployment of Client’s RAID solution.
• Includes cross cultural communication with vendor and customer.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Advanced programming skills in C/C++ for operating system kernel & systems development
• Solid understanding in Windows Storage Driver architecture
• Experience in WDF, WDM and Storport.
• Good working knowledge of RAID.
• Good understanding of NVMe protocols.
• Deep Knowledge of Computer Architecture and Windows Kernel Internals.
• Good understanding of operating systems concepts, data structures, x86-64 architecture.
• Proficient use of git
• Python, Shell Scripting, BIOS knowledge an added advantage
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on more than one task in parallel.
• Ability to mentor technical

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
• Bachelors, Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
