Grant Billing Analyst (Nonprofit)

Beacon Hill is searching for a nonprofit billing analyst o support a well-established NYC-based nonprofit organization. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity within a government contracts and billing function that supports multiple public funding streams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience billing government-funded contracts in a nonprofit setting and strong Excel-based data analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit timely, accurate bills for assigned government-funded contracts
• Ensure all billing activities comply with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Assist with contract renewals, registrations, and amendments
• Support annual budget preparation and budget modifications
• Monitor costs to ensure alignment with approved funding
• Identify and escalate budget variances or compliance concerns
• Prepare recurring financial reports and analyses for internal review
• Stay current on funder requirements and reporting changes
• Share relevant updates with team members and leadership
• Perform additional financial or reporting tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of nonprofit billing experience
• Proven experience working with government-funded contracts
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Comfortable working in a structured, compliance-driven environment
