The Role

Founding Chief of Staff. On-site in Manhattan. Reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer.


This is a seat at the firm's launch. The Chief of Staff will operate as a force multiplier to the CIO across every workstream from investor relations and capital formation to research production, portfolio company engagement, and external communications. The role demands judgment, written precision, and the capacity to manage parallel priorities under institutional scrutiny.


The Chief of Staff seat is structured as a development role with direct exposure to investment management, capital formation, and firm operations at the founder level. The position is designed to prepare its holder for senior responsibility on an accelerated timeline.


Responsibilities

Coordinate operating cadence across research, investor relations, and portfolio engagement workstreams. Manage the LP pipeline and produce materials for investor meetings, diligence requests, and capital raises. Oversee external communications including investor letters, press logistics, and the firm's published research and social channels. Manage counterparty workstreams across legal, compliance, prime brokerage, and fund administration. Identify and resolve operational gaps before they reach the CIO.


Qualifications

  • Three to seven years of professional experience at a tier-one hedge fund, asset manager, frontier technology company, or equivalent institution where performance standards are high and execution is non-negotiable
  • Demonstrated written communication ability at a publication-quality standard
  • Working fluency with financial markets concepts and the operational mechanics of an investment firm
  • A track record of taking ownership of unscoped problems and producing senior-ready output
  • Absolute discretion with confidential information. The Chief of Staff will have direct visibility into LP relationships, portfolio positioning, research in development, and strategic firm matters. The ability to handle highly sensitive information with complete confidentiality is non-negotiable and will be treated as a defining criterion in evaluation
