Role Overview
The Project Manager Lead will oversee complex, high-visibility technology initiatives that span multiple departments and stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business objectives.
The role requires a strong balance of strategic leadership, technical project management, and operational execution, along with the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise digital transformation and healthcare technology initiatives
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle including planning, execution, governance, and delivery
- Oversee EHR migration and implementation activities
- Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk management strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, engineers, and operations leaders
- Provide executive-level reporting, presentations, and status updates
- Drive change management, user adoption, and post-go-live stabilization
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and delivery frameworks
- Promote continuous improvement and scalable delivery methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
- PMP Certification preferred
- 10+ years of experience managing complex technology projects or programs
- Strong experience leading multiple concurrent initiatives
- Proven leadership working with cross-functional and executive stakeholders
- Experience in enterprise digital transformation or modernization programs
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of project governance and delivery methodologies
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Highly organized, adaptable, and proactive in fast-paced environments
- Experience with healthcare IT and EHR implementations strongly preferred
