Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Senior Financial Analyst to support both routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting. The position provides financial consulting and support to finance and non-finance personnel. This is a hands-on role that requires the analyst to work directly with all levels of personnel by getting involved to understand and improve the business.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of weekly, monthly and non-routine analytic and report deliverables.
- Preparation of monthly forecasting files, including variance to actuals.
- Manages, develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, plans, or techniques for financial planning and control.
- Develop and/or prepare analytical reporting and financial analysis on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
- Drives the development of accurate reporting and analytical tools from information systems to assist finance and operating departments in analysis of data and decision making.
- Analyzes complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
- Analyze and interpret financial information to determine past, present, or future financial performance.
- Builds models to track and identify trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
- Coordinates with all levels within the company, both ship and shoreside, and with our parent company.
- Conducts key qualitative and quantitative financial analysis; documents complex financial and plan analysis; prepares and maintains financial modeling required for strategic and financial planning.
- Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
- Preparing financial presentations to a non-finance audience and senior management.
- Cruise Industry background a plus
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience evaluating and improving financial processes.
- Excellent time management and analytical skills
- Ability to prepare and present financial analysis to a “non-finance” audience.
- Ability to develop, communicate and facilitate processes.
- Ability to collaborate and solicit cooperation from individuals in a variety of roles.
- Proficiency in Maritime and financial software and systems. CloudSuite, Fidelio & Seaware desired.
- Proficiency in analytical tools. Power BI, Tableau & Essbase desired.
- Flexibility regarding peak work times.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Experience developing, evaluating, and improving complex financial models and processes.
- Ability to work with well with others who are in various locations and time zones.
