Junior Investment Analyst

ABOUT THIS JOB:

Tiempo Capital is looking for a Junior Investment Analyst to join our investment department in Miami and work directly with our Chief Investment Officer.

This is an entry-level role for someone with strong analytical ability, curiosity about markets, and a serious interest in building a career in investments, wealth management, or family office portfolio management.

The selected candidate will support the investment team across research, portfolio analysis, reporting, investment monitoring, trading, and preparation of materials used in decision-making. This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to portfolio construction, investment strategy, trading execution, and the day-to-day operations of an investment office.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, intellectually curious, and comfortable working in a professional, fast-moving environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Chief Investment Officer with investment research, portfolio analysis, trading, and market monitoring.
• Support portfolio construction and implementation across multiple asset classes.
• Assist with trading across multiple custodians and asset classes, including equities, fixed income, ETFs, mutual funds, and other investment vehicles as applicable.
• Help monitor portfolios, performance, allocations, risk exposures, cash balances, and relevant market developments.
• Support the evaluation of asset classes, investment opportunities, managers, funds, and securities.
• Prepare investment summaries, reports, presentations, and internal materials.
• Conduct research on macroeconomic trends, financial markets, investment themes, and portfolio strategy.
• Support due diligence processes and organize relevant investment documentation.
• Work with Excel, PowerPoint, custodial platforms, databases, and investment-related tools to analyze and present information.
• Coordinate with internal team members on investment, reporting, trading, and client-related deliverables.
• Maintain organized records, files, trade documentation, and investment materials for internal use.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of investment processes, reporting, portfolio monitoring, and trade execution workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong interest in investments, financial markets, portfolio management, and wealth management.
• 0–2 years of experience in investment research, financial analysis, asset management, wealth management, banking, trading operations, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills; ability to work with financial data, formulas, tables, and basic analysis.
• Comfortable creating clear and professional presentations in PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work, especially when working with trades, data, and portfolio information.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to work on-site in Miami.
• Proactive, professional, discreet, and eager to learn.
• English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.
• Trading experience is preferred, especially across custodial platforms or multiple asset classes.
• Series 65 is preferred. If the candidate does not currently hold the Series 65, they will be expected to obtain it within the first 3 months of employment.
• Familiarity with custodial platforms, Bloomberg, Morningstar, FactSet, Capital IQ, or similar tools is a plus but not required.
• CFA Level I candidate or interest in pursuing the CFA is a plus.
