Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Supporting project work planning activities, including defining trainer scope and associated functional requirements, cost estimating, schedule and budget development, and risk identification.
- Supporting solicitation, placement, and subsequent oversight and follow of sub-tier supplier contracts.
- Monitoring project progress and performance against plans and initiating corrective actions to address variances as necessary.
- Executing schedule and assigned budget resources.
- Interfacing with project stakeholders, internal and external to the program.
- Identifying and implementing solutions to resolve challenges and minimize project impacts.
- Ensuring project results meet scope, schedule, cost, and technical quality requirements.
- Periodic travel to other locations and sub-tier supplier sites.
- Bachelor's degree in project management or engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- Program or project management experience within a technical business.
- Experience managing complex technical projects.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team building skills.
- Experience with new project start-up, technical writing, cost estimating, and sub-tier supplier oversight.
- Experience working with engineers to define project scope and schedules.
- Experience defining, implementing, and managing project infrastructure (integrated plans, resource management, schedule management, risk management, change control, and status reporting).
- Ability to team and solve complex problems across organizations.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments for all aspects of work with minimal direction from management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with management and interfacing organizations.
- Experience with Primavera P6.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
