Position Overview

AM200 Law Firm is seeking a highly organized and proactive Litigation Legal Assistant to support a team of busy attorneys within their litigation practice. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a mastery of both state and federal procedural requirements.


Salary: 85k-85k

Schedule: 4 days in-office


Key Responsibilities

  • Electronic Filing: Execute complex filings in State, Federal (CM/ECF), and Appellate courts. Ensure all documents comply with local rules, judge’s standing orders, and formatting requirements.
  • Document Management: Draft, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and subpoenas. Coordinate the service of process and manage the firm’s document management system (DMS).
  • Calendar & Deadline Management: Maintain accurate litigation calendars, including tracking court appearances, depositions, and statutory deadlines (Statutes of Limitations, discovery cut-offs, etc.).
  • Discovery Support: Assist with the preparation of document productions, privilege logs, and deposition exhibits.
  • Trial Preparation: Coordinate trial logistics, including preparing trial binders, managing exhibit lists, and assisting with witness scheduling.
  • Administrative Coordination: Manage attorney time entry, client billing edits (pre-bills), and travel arrangements as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably within a mid-to-large law firm environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with e-filing portals (both state-specific systems and federal CM/ECF). Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Pro is essential.
  • Knowledge Base: Deep understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the ability to cite-check or "bluebook" is a significant plus.
  • Attention to Detail: An eagle eye for typos, formatting inconsistencies, and rule compliance.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with clients, opposing counsel, and court clerks.
