A growing boutique advisory firm is seeking an experienced Business Services Manager to support a newly appointed Partner with a rapidly expanding client portfolio.

This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, take ownership of key client relationships, and play a hands-on role in shaping how a modern advisory-focused practice operates.

The Opportunity

As Manager, you will operate across client delivery, advisory, and team leadership, combining strong technical capability with commercial insight and people management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and reviewing complex financial statements and income tax returns for high-value client groups
  • Providing advice across key tax areas including CGT, GST, FBT and Div 7A
  • Leading client meetings and building long-term, trusted relationships
  • Supporting tax planning and broader business advisory engagements
  • Mentoring, supervising and developing junior and intermediate staff
  • Managing workflow, deadlines, WIP, and quality control across the team
  • Working closely with a Partner on client strategy, portfolio growth, and advisory direction

About You

You are a confident and commercially minded Manager who enjoys being close to both clients and leadership, with a strong balance of technical and people skills.

You will bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification
  • 6+ years' experience in business services, tax, or advisory
  • Strong technical tax knowledge across SME and group structures
  • Proven experience leading, reviewing, and mentoring a team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships independently
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with attention to detail
