The Role
The Data, Panel and Operations Specialist plays a key role in shaping how we connect with, engage, and grow our online research panel community. This role is focused on building strong relationships with our community members through compelling communications, thoughtful campaigns, and engaging digital experiences that drive participation and long-term value.
Sitting within the Operations team, this role blends community marketing, digital communications, campaign delivery, and performance insight to ensure our Internal Research Panel is vibrant, active, and valued. You will be responsible for bringing the panel to life—championing the member voice, telling the right stories, and creating experiences that encourage ongoing engagement.
As Data, Panel and Operations Specialist, you are curious, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a passion for financial services and a strong instinct for clear, effective communication. You enjoy simplifying complexity and spotting opportunities to improve how audiences experience and interact with digital communities.
Key Responsibilities
Community Growth & Engagement
- Lead the strategy for engaging and retaining members of the Internal Research Panel
- Design and deliver engaging online community initiatives, activities, and incentive-led programs
- Monitor panel health metrics (engagement, churn, response rates) and recommend improvements
- Act as the internal voice of the panel member, championing experience and usability
- Develop and deliver a multi-channel communications strategy
- Plan and execute campaigns to support panel recruitment, activation, and re-engagement
- Create engaging, high-quality content for emails, newsletters, landing pages, and in-platform messaging
- Ensure all communications meet consent, and data governance standards
- Develop digital marketing initiatives to grow and activate the panel
- Track and report on campaign, platform, and engagement performance
- Use data and insights to optimise messaging, targeting, survey design, and platform usage
- Support local (Australia) RFI marketing needs through events, activities and developing collateral
- Support relationships with panel, incentive, and technology suppliers
- Coordinate supplier activity related to recruitment, incentives, platforms, and data delivery
- Maintain documentation, processes, and operational reporting
- Work closely with Research, Client Services, and Commercial teams to maximise internal panel, client and internal needs
- Provide input on panel feasibility, capacity, and engagement trends
- Have a degree in any discipline
- A passion for financial services and data
- 2-4 years experience in community management, digital marketing, or research
- Hands-on experience managing panel platforms, survey tools, or CRM systems
- Strong campaign planning and execution experience
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive improvements
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- Be a self-starter with a positive attitude
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with a steep learning curve
- Be self-motivated and able to work both autonomously and in a team
- Be confident multi-tasking and managing multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of or interest in the banking and payments industry or in market research
