You’ll be joining a high-calibre delivery team working on a major data transformation initiative for a well-known enterprise client.

About the Role

This is a hands-on Technical Business Analyst position sitting at the heart of a large-scale data migration programme. The focus is on transitioning a significant suite of Power BI reports from a legacy SAS environment into a modern Azure Databricks medallion architecture.

You’ll play a key role in interpreting existing reporting logic, defining meaningful business metrics, and ensuring data is structured and transformed to support scalable, future-ready analytics.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analysing existing SAS/SQL-based reporting logic to understand current outputs
• Working with stakeholders to define business requirements, KPIs and metrics
• Specifying data transformation rules and how datasets should be integrated
• Supporting data modelling, build and testing alongside engineers and modellers
• Providing ongoing delivery updates and ensuring alignment across teams

The Successful Candidate

We’re looking for a technically strong, commercially minded Business Analyst who thrives in data-driven environments.

You will bring:

• Proven experience as a Technical or Data Business Analyst within complex programmes
• Strong SQL capability and ability to interpret legacy reporting logic
• Experience defining KPIs, metrics and business rules within data platforms
• Exposure to modern cloud data environments (e.g. Azure Databricks, data lakes)
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across both business and technical teams
• Solid understanding of data modelling concepts (e.g. star schemas, data marts)

Nice to have:

• Experience with SAS environments
• Background in reporting or BI transformation/migration initiatives
