Director Airline Commercial Development

My client is an established, specialist technology platform in the search for a Director Airline Commercial Development to join its commercial function. This role will focus on driving customer growth, expanding strategic partnerships, and supporting the continued commercial development of a market-facing solution.

The Opportunity

• Visible position working closely with senior commercial leadership and external stakeholders

• Broad exposure across commercial strategy, customer engagement, and revenue growth initiatives

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial growth strategies across a defined customer segment

• Lead business development activity and support the conversion of new commercial opportunities

• Build and maintain senior relationships with enterprise customers and industry stakeholders

• Deliver commercially focused presentations and solution discussions with prospective clients

• Partner with internal teams to align customer requirements with product development priorities

Requirements

• Strong background within a complex B2B, aviation, leasing, or data-led commercial environment

• Proven experience in commercial development, client engagement, or business growth activities

• Strong sales (or related commercial target-driven experience) with airlines and an excellent network of airline connections

• Solid understanding of fleet economics, maintenance planning, and asset value drivers

• Demonstrated drive, resilience, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
